Phillip and Lorna Waterman celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a dinner at Cucina Paradiso in Petaluma with their children Phillip, Keith, and Gina. Phillip served in Korea from 1951 to 1953 before they met at Lorna’s sister’s wedding where he was best man. They dated for three months before they were married in Reno on July 10, 1954. They have four grandchildren.

Phillip worked as an ironworker and in production in prestressed construction until his retirement in January 1994.

Phillip loves to do auto restoration and play golf. Lorna loves to work in her flower garden. They enjoy traveling and have taken lots of car trips in the United States, visited Europe, China, New Zealand, Austria, and have taken many cruises to Tahiti, Hawaii, the Caribbean, the Panama canal, and Alaska.

Their advice for a long and happy marriage: be supportive of each other’s interests and activities.
