Guide to upcoming Sonoma County crab feeds

Many schools, clubs and nonprofits in the North Bay are serving up mounds of sweet Dungeness crabs alongside craft beers and crisp wines.|

So many crab feeds, so little time. That’s the dilemma this month as every school, club and nonprofit in the North Bay serves up mounds of sweet, Dungeness crabs alongside craft beers and crisp wines, in order to raise extra cash.

- The Great Sonoma Crab and Wine Fest, sponsored by the Sonoma County Farm Bureau, is the Chris-Craft of crab feeds, serving gourmet hors d’oeuvres and delicious wines at 5 p.m. Saturday at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds’ Grace Pavilion. It’s sold out, so you’ll have to fish around for tickets.

- The Penngrove Social Firemen will fire up your appetite with crab, pasta, salad and bread at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Penngrove Community Clubhouse, 385 Woodward. Tickets are $45. Call 794-1516.

- The Puma Athletic Boosters of Maria Carrillo High School will pump you up with crab, clam chowder, Caesar salad, bread and dessert at 5 p.m. Saturday at St. Eugene’s Becker Center, 2525 Montgomery Dr. Tickets are $50. mchspac.com.

- Get back in the saddle with the Novato Horsemen, who will serve up crab, pasta, salad, bread and dessert at 5 and 7:30 p.m. Feb. 14 at 600 Bugeia Lane in Novato. Tickets: $40, must be purchased in advance. 415-305-8897.

- Sebastopol Rotary will host a romantic Crab Feed at 5 and 7 p.m. Feb. 14 at the Holy Ghost Hall, 7960 Mill Station Rd., Sebastopol. $55 includes crab, clam chowder, salad, bread, dessert, wine. Tickets at Exchange Bank in Sebastopol.

- HopMonk Tavern in Sebastopol teams up with Anderson Valley Brewery and North Coast Brewing for a crafty Crab Feed at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 20, featuring salad, crab cakes, crab chowder, corn on the cob, cracked crab and corn bread, all washed down with special brews. Live music by Galen Ash. Cost is $65. 829-7300.

- Petaluma Rotary Club Crab Feed gets cooking at 6 p.m. Feb. 20 at the Petaluma Veterans Building, 1094 Petaluma Boulevard North, with all-you-can-eat crab, pasta and French bread. Tickets: $60, at 283-0520.

- The Sonoma County Democratic Party will hold its 27th annual Crab Feed at 5 p.m. Feb. 27 at the Sonoma County Veterans Building, 1351 Maple Ave., Santa Rosa. Cost is $50. 575-3029 or scdp@sonic.net.

- The 4th annual Crab Feed at Finley, to benefit senior programs, will dish out crab, pasta, salad, French bread and dessert at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 28 at the Finley Community Center, 2060 W. College Ave. Tickets are $45, available at the Bennett Valley Senior Center or Finley. 545-8608.
