SONOMA COUNTY: Wine Road Barrel Tasting Take II

Cellar doors are open again this weekend for the 37th Annual Wine Road Barrel Tasting.

This event is a big draw because it's less expensive than many in Wine Country, and wineries often offer steep discounts on futures, barrel samples that will be bottled typically 12 to 18 months from now.

For those without a spending agenda, this is a chance to connect with winemakers and explore the valleys – Russian River, Alexander and Dry Creek.

The event is 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, and people are encouraged to bring a picnic lunch, as wineries will not be offering food.

The ticket for a weekend pass is $43.50 and for a Sunday-only pass, it's $32.63. For more information, visit events at www.wineroad.com.
