Wine Country makes list of 101 best restaurants in US

Three local restaurants have been deemed some of the nation's best by The Daily Meal.|

The Daily Meal website has announced its fifth annual ranking of the 101 Best Restaurants in America, with a total of three from Wine Country making the top 20.

The listing, compiled by Daily Meal Editorial Director Colman Andrews and other restaurant critics and bloggers from across the country, includes celebrated restaurant towns like New York City and Las Vegas along with smaller hubs, such as Yountville.

Coming in at No. 7 was Thomas Keller's The French Laundry of Yountville, followed by Bouchon Bistro of Yountville at No. 15 and the Restaurant at Meadowood in St. Helena at No. 19. The French Laundry was ranked No. 3 last year.

There were seven restaurants in San Francisco that made the cut, including the Zuni Café at No. 41 and Quince at No. 52, plus Camino in Oakland at No. 92.
