Learn pickling tricks at Spinster Sisters
The Spinster Sisters restaurant is kick off the first in a series of workshops at 5:30 p.m. June 1 with a class on home fermentation.
The workshop, taught by Executive Chef Liza Hinman and Vanessa Pritchard, will cover the basics of traditional vegetable fermentation, or “pickling” at home.
Participants will prepare two styles of fermented pickles - dry-salted and whole-brined - to take home in jars. They will also get a chance to taste a variety of fermented pickles and enjoy light refreshments.
