Photo contest focuses on Laguna de Santa Rosa

Photographers of all levels are invited to submit color photos that educate or tell a story about the Laguna to mark 25th anniversary.|

Both beginning and advanced photographers are invited to submit entries for a photography contest marking the 25th anniversary of efforts to conserve and restore the Laguna de Santa Rosa.

Color photographs are sought that educate or tell a story about the Laguna. Submissions can be in a range of styles from realistic to fanciful but must focus on the landscape or the plants and animals of The Laguna. Photographs of people are not eligible.

Selected photos will be included in a juried exhibit, “A Photographic Journey Through the Laguna de Santa Rosa” that will be on display in Heron Hall at the Laguna Environmental Center from Sept. 4 to Jan. 4, 2016.

There is a $10 fee per entry with a maximum of three entries per person. Prizes will be awarded in several categories.

The photo contest is one is a year-long series of events and projects celebrating the Laguna.
