SEBASTOPOL: Rock Climber Jorgeson to Speak
Kevin Jorgeson, who free climbed the Dawn Wall of El Capitan in Yosemite, will be the guest speaker at the Earth Day Celebration April 19 at Iron Horse Vineyards. The event is from 12 noon to 3 p.m., and Iron Horse will be pouring its limited production “Summit Cuvee.” There will be an exhibit of photos of the Dawn Wall Ascent and live music with Lonesome Locomotive, a blend of rock and bluegrass.. General admission: $65 per person. Participating wineries include: DeLoach Vineyards, Dutton-Goldfield Winery, Freeman Vineyard & Winery, Hartford Family Winery, Lynmar Estate, Marimar Estate, MacPhail Family Wines, and the Rubin Family of Wines.Iron Horse is at 9786 Ross Station Road.
FORT BRAGG: Winesong Tickets on Sale
Tickets are on sale for the September Winesong 2015 wine charity auction, highlighted by the silent and live auctions on Sept. 12 at the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens in Fort Bragg. The silent auction is 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.,; the live auction from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. General admission tickets purchased before June 1 are $125. Proceeds benefit the Mendocino Coast District Hospital.
