A mini preview of the Sonoma County Fair hits the road July 3 with displays, free popcorn, carnival games and prizes for all.

“Down on the Farm,” The Sonoma County Traveling Fair, makes its first stop at Keiser Park during the Windsor Kaboom! celebration, 700 Windsor River Road in Windsor. Hours are from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The road show then makes seven more stops throughout the county, ending with a bash from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. July 17 at Howarth Park in Santa Rosa, 630 Summerfield Road.

The Traveling Fair offers a sneak peak at upcoming attractions at the fair, which opens July 24 and runs through Aug. 9.

Each stop will be a little different. Some will have a local band offering live music. But there will always be carnival games and a giant prize wheel for a chance to spin for free fair tickets.

The traveling fair is free. For more information about the fair visit SonomaCountyFair.com or call 545-4200.
