Rodney Strong Vineyards in Healdsburg has opened its Terrace for the season, providing guests an outdoor space where they can try a seated wine flight with cheese and charcuterie or indulge in a wine and food pairing.

New winery chef Mat Petersen, who joined the team earlier this year, has created a five-bite food-and-wine pairing in collaboration with chef and consultant Tara Goodman. The menu pairs specifically with five wines from the Rodney Strong Reserve, Single-Vineyard and Estate series.

The Terrace experiences are offered 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday through Sunday, weather permitting. It is closed during the annual Summer Concert Series (June 20 and 28, July 25, Aug. 15 and Sept. 5). Reservations are recommended for the Terrace tastings: (800) 678-4763.

The winery is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, with winery tours at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. 11455 Old Redwood Highway.
