Week 4: Readers pick favorite ‘Sonoma Summer Sizzle' photo

A photo of Laguna de Santa Rosa under a moody sky proved to be a favorite among readers in the 4th week of the 'Sonoma Summer Sizzle' promotion. The photo, taken by Marlene Smith of Santa Rosa, shows the landscape after a night of rain, heavy clouds lingering overhead.

"Every day I wake up wanting to explore new areas in beautiful Sonoma County through the eyes of my camera lens," Smith told us when asked about her photo. "It had rained the night before so I was eager to see what the Laguna looked like, imagining the freshness after the rain. It looked exactly as I had hoped! Beautiful and magical!"
