Gloria Ferrer Caves & Vineyards has a star palate on board in its quest to find the best appetizer recipe through its first nationwide contest called the 'Glorious Bites Challenge.'

"Top Chef" star Brooke Williamson and a panel of food and wine experts will judge entries, in part, on how well they pair with Gloria Ferrer's Sonoma Brut. Entries must be submitted by Aug. 31. (For official rules, visit www.gloriousbites.com.)

The panel will select top 10 semi-finalists to participate in live cook-offs judged by Williamson in either New York or San Francisco in September.

Four competitors will move on to the national finals on Oct. 10 at the Gloria Ferrer Winery in Sonoma. There Williamson and the panel will choose the grand prize winner, awarding a $5,000 prize.

Williamson recently placed first-runner up on the "Top Chef Season 10" in Seattle. She has also competed on Bravo's series "Top Chef Duels."
