Valette in Healdsburg named one of OpenTable's 100 best foodie restaurants

OpenTable released their list of 100 Best Restaurants for Foodies in America, listing the Healdsburg restaurant among other prominent restaurants around the states.|

OpenTable’s 2015 list of 100 Best Restaurants for Foodies in America includes Valette in Healdsburg opened by chef/owner Dustin Valette and his brother Aaron earlier this year.

Valette was the only North Bay restaurant to make the list, which reflects the combined opinions of more than 5 million restaurant reviews submitted by verified OpenTable diners between Aug. 1, 2014 and July 31, 2015.

New York has 12 winning restaurants, followed by California with 11. San Francisco restaurants that made the list include Aatxe, the first project of chef Ryan Pollnow, formerly of Kendall-Jackson Wine Estates; Al’s Place, featuring chef Aaron London, who grew up in Graton; Octavia, the newest restaurant from award-winning executive chef Melissa Perello; and The Palace, the latest restaurant from Venezuelan chef Manny Torres Gimenez.

“This year’s honorees are where the culinary magic happens, where the rules of fine dining are being rewritten,” said Caroline Potter, chief dining officer at OpenTable. “Whether they’re reviving forgotten cooking techniques, championing the latest sustainable ingredient, or creating unexpectedly delicious and unique flavor pairings, these restaurants are where you can truly wow the foodies in your life.”

Newer restaurants proved most popular, with a quarter of the eateries having opened in 2015, and the majority of honorees founded in the last five years.
