Black Pig Meat Co. of Sebastopol, a producer of delicious bacon and salumi made from pasture-raised pigs, has been chosen as a 2015 food finalist in the Martha Stewart American Made Awards.

The meat company is owned by Duskie Estes and John Stewart, who run the meat company out of their Zazu + Kitchen restaurant space in Sebastopol’s Barlow Center.

“We are very proud of supporting pigs on pasture and have fun coming up with new products to use the whole animal,” Estes said. The company partners with other Sonoma County makers like the Sonoma County Meat Company, Soup Cauldron and Tilted Shed to make lard lather, lip lardo and bacon hard cider,
