Corrick’s Stationery & Gifts, a landmark, family-run business in downtown Santa Rosa, is celebrating its 100th year with special events throughout the month of October.

Customers, both new and old, are invited to come into the Fourth Street store and celebrate with live music, promotions and giveaways and peruse memorabilia from the store’s long history.

The family business has operated in four different Fourth Street locations since A. R. Corrick took ownership of an existing stationary shop back in 1915. Since then, the late Kenneth & Marjorie Brown, Santa Rosa Symphony Conductor Emeritus Corrick and Norma Brown, and now Keven and Jeri Brown have shaped it into what it is today: an emporium of gifts and stationary that has a year-round space devoted to local artwork called the Sonoma County Art Trails Gallery.

“Marking our 100th anniversary is a milestone for me personally,” said fourth-generation owner Keven Brown. “It represents innumerable relationships and collaborations with this vibrant and caring community.”

On Thursday through Saturday, Oct. 8 to 10, there will be a Silver Restoration event featuring guest silver expert Match Paul. On Saturday, Oct. 17, there will be live music and refreshments from noon to 4 p.m.

On Saturday, Oct 24, pianists Norman and Corrick Brown will perform with a few of their talented friends. On Saturday, Oct. 31, there will be a storytelling and magic show for kids and adults.

Corrick’s is located at 637 Fourth St. 546-2424. corricks.com.
