Sharks tear apart seal in front of crowd at Alcatraz

Onlookers gasped as sharks enjoy an afternoon seal snack off Alcatraz, but no one was more excited than one 8-year-old boy.|

Proof that nature can be both awesome and terrifying at the same time came to a group of tourists this weekend at Alcatraz. The group was gifted with a front row seat to the wild animal kingdom when a group of sharks enjoyed an afternoon seal snack just a few yards away from shore.

Understandably, the crowd was amazed, even horrified, as the water turned a crimson red in front of them. But no one was more excited about the impromptu show than a few adolescent boys in the group, particularly one eight-year-old who narrated the entire event. He even broke into the 'Jaws' theme song as the sharks took turns tearing the seal apart.

The crowd around him can be heard murmuring, even mentioning how fearful they are as the sharks get closer and closer. The boy, however, had a different view on this shark attack.

'That's the awesomest thing I've ever seen in my life,' he exclaimed.
