One-room schoolhouses, were a common means of educating rural children at the turn of the century. On the North Coast few of those structures remain.

Local historian, and curator of Lake County Museums, Tony Pierucci, has written "Lake County Schoolhouses," a book that explores the history of those schools.

Learn more and and meet Pierucci at a book signing event at the Gibson Museum (21267 Calistoga Road, Middletown) on Sunday at 3 p.m.
