Both La Crema’s Healdsburg Tasting Lounge and Estate at Saralee’s Vineyard will offer a free flight of four single vineyard wines, including a taste of the new Willamette Valley Brut Rosé, on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14. The tasting normally costs $30. lacrema.com

Love in the air

Notre Vue Winery will provide a “Love” inspired, four-course dinner prepared by Chef Austin Perkins at 6 p.m. Saturday at the winery.

The menu includes Dungeness Crab Cakes, Wild Mushroom Arancini, Ahi Tuna Crudo, Wood-Fired Duroc Pork Tenderloin, Wood-Fired Lamb Sirloin and Butterscotch Pot de Creme.

SANTA ROSA

Chinese New Year

Usher in the Year of the Dog with the Redwood Empire Chinese Association during the annual Lunar New Year celebration at 5 p.m. Feb. 18 at the Santa Rosa Veterans Memorial Building.

The event will feature traditional lion dancing, a parade with a 250-foot dragon and traditional Chinese food.

An Olive Odyssey

Enjoy all kinds of olive activities from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday during the annual Olive Odyssey at Jacuzzi Family Vineyards.

With olive expert Don Landis as your guide, you can learn how to cure olives, cook with olives, get a tour of an olive mill, taste olive oil and enjoy olive-inspired art and yummy food.

SANTA ROSA

Ranch to Table

A special Ranch to Table Winemaker dinner featuring Balletto Vineyards and ribeye from local ranchers will take place at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 17 at the Wild Oak Saddle Club.

The event, hosted by Landon McPherson of the local travel company Harvest Card, features grass-fed beef from Grounded Grassfed of Petaluma, which manages eight ranches in Sonoma and Marin counties and raises more than 600 head of beef cattle.

PETALUMA

Mardi Gras party

Laissez les bons temps rouler! The Petaluma Music Festival will hold its 5th annual Mardi Gras Party at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Lagunitas Beer Sanctuary.

The festive menu includes chicken étouffée, jambalaya, mac’n’cheese, cornbread, salad and pralines. Dance music will be provided by the King Street Giants.
