Keeping succulents?healthy and happy
Learn how to keep all your succulents happy and healthy throughout the year during a free workshop Saturday at the Healdsburg Regional Library. Master Gardener Anne Lowings, who has an impressive succulent garden of her own, will lead the workshop, which will also cover propagation. Holiday arrangement making workshops
The Sonoma County Master Gardeners are offering two free workshops Saturday on making holiday arrangements. Ellyn Pelikan will offer tips on making wreaths, swags and table decor using materials from your own garden or the gardens of your friends during a talk at the Sebastopol Library, 7140 Bodega Ave. Sue Lovelace will talk about “Holiday Arrangements from the Seasonal Garden” at the Sonoma Valley Library, 755 W. Napa Street. Lovelace will talk about how she collects plant material, and offer design ideas and information on tools and supplies. Both talks are from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

How to manage ?garden pests
There are better ways to manage garden pests than pulling out the big guns - toxic chemicals. The Sonoma County Master Gardeners on Saturday are offering a free talk on how to create healthy gardens through a balanced approach. Led by a team of master gardeners specially trained in Integrated Pest Management, the class combines a 45-minute presentation with demonstrations and displays of drip irrigation, less toxic pesticides, compost and beneficial insects. 12:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Windsor Town Green Community Garden on the northwest side of the Windsor Town Green at Windsor Road and Joe Rodota Way.
