SONOMA : La Fiesta de la Paella at Gloria Ferrer

Gloria Ferrer Champagne Caves will host an evening of paella and flamenco dancing at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the winery south of Sonoma.

La Fiesta de la Paella will be held on the vista terrace, overlooking the vineyards of the Carneros Valley, and feature various types of paella paired with wines plus Spanish classical guitar and a saber demonstration.

HEALDSBURG: Amphora hosting Hawaiian luau

Amphora Wines will summon the trade winds and the swaying palms of Hawaii for a traditional Hawaiian luau at 6 p.m. July 15 in the barrel cellar.

The evening includes a buffet dinner paired with wine, live rock ’n’ roll and prizes for the best and worst Hawaiian attire.

HEALDSBURG: Cheese course, dinner at Shed

Head over to the Healdsburg Shed at 1 p.m. Saturday for another cheese course on “America the Bountiful” with Janet Fletcher.

Fletcher, a cheese expert from the Napa Valley, will take the class on a cross-country trek to taste the finest cheeses made in the U.S., from Oregon to Vermont. Cost is $65.

Then, in honor of stone fruit and berry season, Shed will host a community dinner at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday that features a homemade pie contest. Bring your best crusty creation, and you could go home a winner. Cost is $42.

POINT REYES: Culinary classes at the Fork

The Fork at the Point Reyes Farmstead Cheese Co. will present a series of culinary classes this summer and fall that feature the farmstead’s renowned cheeses and other local products.

On Sept. 1, executive chef Jennifer Luttrell and Colleen Richardson will give a hands-on class on “Farm Fresh for the Summer.” On Sept. 29, Loren Poncia of Stemple Creek Ranch will give a hands-on and demo class on “Grass Fed Meat 101.”
