If you fancy glamping, chances are simple quaffers won’t do. Your palate, even in the wild, will crave top flight, gorgeous wines. When you camp, you simply take the good life with you and that includes plenty of impressive vino. Here’s a tasty line-up, our version of glamping wines.

Sea Smoke, 2012 Sta. Rita Hills Sparkling Wine, Blanc de Noirs12%, $80. This delightful sparkler has a range – nectarine, yeast and melon. Bright acid. Finishes crisp. Striking.

Haute Couture, NV French Sparkling Wine, 11%, $30. Slightly sweet, with notes of brioche, peach and pear. Round texture. Nice mousse.

Arista, 2014 Mononi Vineyard, Russian River Valley Pinot Noir, 14.9%, $75. This pinot noir is drop dead gorgeous with deep cherry flavors and notes of cola and smoke. It’s generous, packed with fruit, a touch earthy and has great intensity. It’s a knockout.

Bedrock Wine Co., 2014 Old Vine Zinfandel, $29. A zin that’s complex, with layered flavors of currant, plum, smoke and cracked black pepper. Zesty finish. Bright acidity. Knockout.

Amapola Creek, 2013 Monte Rosso Vineyards, Sonoma Valley Zinfandel, 16%, $48. An earthy, layered zin with a range of flavors. A bit meaty, with notes of black cherry and pepper. Well crafted. Impressive.
