Best and worst things about summer for Sonoma County parents of teens

If your kid is sporting a monitor tan and hasn't seen the light of day in weeks, you might be the parent of a teen on summer vacation.|

By the end of the school year, my three teens and I couldn't wait for summer vacation. We were all looking forward to the days of no schedule, no homework and three full months of lazy days (more them than me). But a few weeks in, reality hit. Or rather, the sink full of dishes, the empty refrigerator and the 24/7 computer use hit.
