Founded in 1980, Simms garnered valuable experience in creating waders and wading boots before designing the VaporTread. The boot's Vibram Megagrip rubber outsole is made from a compound that's slip-resistant and high-traction when wading, and also offers superior ground contact and hiking speeds when moving across land. The molded dual-density EVA midsole and arch-supported 3D footbed offer all-day comfort and optimize a body's biomechanics. A heel clip offers extra support and keeps heels firmly in place.
