SONOMA: Home winemakers
Sonoma Uncorked, a tasting of wines produced by amateur winemakers in the Sonoma Valley, will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 17, at the Sonoma Veterans Memorial Building.
The afternoon, put on by the Sonoma Home Winemakers Club, includes appetizers and small bites from local chefs, live music by Sean Carscadden and a silent auction.
The tasting costs $40 in advance and $50 at the door, with proceeds going to Sonoma Valley Mentoring Alliance and Educational Outreach Programs for Kiwanis of Sonoma Plaza.

PETALUMA: Agrarian Games
The Farmers Guild will put on the 4th annual Agrarian Games and Farmers Market from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, at the Sonoma-Marin fairgrounds in Petaluma.
The old-fashioned celebration of sustainable agriculture includes wheelbarrow relays and watermelon seed-spitting, local food and live music, all while supporting family farms and farmers.

HEALDSBURG: Zero Foodprint
Healdsburg Shed will hold a delicious dinner promoting sustainable restaurants at 6 p.m. Sept. 27 featuring author J. Kenji López-Alt of “The Food Lab” and chef Anthony Myint of Mission Chinese Food in San Francisco.
The event will launch Shed's involvement in the Zero Foodprint movement and a portion of the proceeds will be contributed to projects that reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the food system.
The collaborative dinner will include tastes from Mission Chinese Food and The Perennial of San Francisco as well as the Shed kitchen, with four courses themed around environmentally progressive ingredients and concepts.

SONOMA: Crush Camp 2017
Passaggio Wines will hold a Crush Camp from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 23 at its new winery location, 22020 Carneros Vineyard Way, Suite 2.

GLEN ELLEN: Jack London gala
Step back in time for a wild night on Sept. 23 during the second annual “Call of the Wild” gala set at the winery ruins of Jack London State Historic Park.
During the evening, the ruins will be transformed into the famous Heinold's First and Last Chance Saloon, which still stands in Oakland's Jack London Square. Actors will provide an immersive theater event, including characters both famous and infamous from author Jack London's years as an oyster pirate on the San Francisco Bay.
There will be a tasting of Sonoma whiskeys, followed by a sit-down dinner with wine. Cost is $200. To reserve: jacklondonpark.com.

SEBASTOPOL: Harvest Hoedown
LifeWorks of Sonoma County will hold its annual Harvest Hoedown from 4:30 p.m. until the cows come home on Saturday, Sept. 16, at the Trappe Ranch.

KENWOOD: Porsches at the Palace
The 18th annual Porsches at the Palace, featuring an array of sleek vehicles, will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 17, at the Ledson Winery & Vineyards.
The cars will be parked along the circular driveway, and automobile aficionados can also taste wine and picnic with gourmet food from the Marketplace.
The gates will open at 8 a.m. for participants, with judging beginning at 11 a.m. Entry fee is $30 and pre-registration is not required. Proceeds from the event benefit CASA, Court Appointed Special Advocates.
