Vintner Jean-Charles Boisset will give a dinner at 5 p.m. Oct. 7 at DeLoach Vineyards to benefit Demeter USA’s Biodynamic Farmer Education Initiative.

The evening includes a dinner by Boisset Culinary Director Victor Scargle, Live music by Cahoots and the wines of DeLoach Vineyards, Buena Vista Winery and Raymond Vineyards.

SONOMA: M.F.K. and Cassoulet

Enjoy a delicious cassoulet meal, share memories of food writer M.F.K. Fisher and exchange ideas about the future of her Last House in Glen Ellen during a benefit dinner entitled “With Bold Knife and Fork” at 5 p.m. Oct. 8 at The General’s Daughter.

KENWOOD: Cruise to the castle

Ledson Winery & Vineyards will hold its 11th annual Corvettes at the Castle from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 7 at the Kenwood winery.

The Type 5 car show will feature prizes from the Northern California Corvette Association and Ledson Winery. SEBASTOPOL: Women in Food

The Foundations and the Future: Celebrating Women’s Leadership in the Food Movement, a day-long symposium including speakers, lunch, art show, live music and happy hour reception, will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, at the Permaculture Skills Center.

The day of education and dialogue aims to celebrate and lift up the leadership and voice of women in the food movement, from policy and advocacy to art and farmiing.
