Chefs cook up free to-go meals for Sonoma County fire victims

Chefs from some of Sonoma County's favorite food spots have teamed up to provide free meals for anyone who needs a little help feeding their family.|

The fires in Sonoma County have destroyed thousands of structures and upended the lives of many. If you are in need of a meal, some of Sonoma County's top chefs are here to help.

Chefs from such favorite food spots as Franchetti's, Single Thread, Worth Our Weight and Moustache Baked Goods have teamed up to provide free meals for anyone in Sonoma County who needs help feeding their family.

Coordinated by the local initiative Sonoma Family Meal, chefs have been preparing and providing meals available for pickup at different locations in Santa Rosa since Saturday, October 14, including Franchetti's on Dutton Avenue and Worth Our Weight on Hahman Drive.

Sonoma Family meal will be serving free lunch and dinner Wednesday, October 18, through Saturday, October 21, available for pickup at the Santa Rosa Junior College, 1700 Mendocino Avenue. Lunch 12-2 p.m.; Dinner 5-7 p.m.
