Enjoy holiday high tea service on the 24th
The Hotel Healdsburg will once again welcome young and old to a Holiday Tea service from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays through Dec. 24 in the Fireplace Lounge.
The high tea service includes housemade pastries, petit sandwiches, custom blend teas, wine, classic cocktails and other holiday fare from Executive Chef Scott Romano.

Watch a slide show, talk with author
Thomas Pinney, author of the new book “The City of Vines: A History of Wine in Los Angeles,” will give a slide show and talk on the book at 7 p.m. Mondayat the Healdsburg Shed.
Pinney, who also wrote the two-volume “A History of Wine in America,” is the premiere scholar writing on American wine history. The event is hosted by the Healdsburg Literary Guild, Shed and Carol Shelton Wines.

Santa brunch
Ramekins will hold its annual Santa’s Brunch from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Ramekins in Sonoma.
The family celebration includes waffles omelet and carving stations; egg dishes, sides and salads; pastries, sweets and sparkling wine plus eggnog shooter. Seatings at 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

Holiday wine tastings and crafts at the Shed
The Healdsburg Shed will get into the holiday spirit from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, with Making Merry, a day of demonstrations, tastings and workshops.
The day’s activities includes a tasting of Dandelion Chocolates and Farm Chocolate plus workshops on oyster shucking, pie dough, milling, wreath making, winter shrubs, felting ornaments, wrapping, cassoulet and aperitivos. Tickets are required to some of the events.
At 1 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 10, chocolate maven Alice Medrich will give a demonstration of three cookies from her new book, “Holiday Cookies.” Cost is $20, including tastes of each cookies and a copy of the book.

SANTA ROSA
Siduri open house
Siduri Winery will hold its annual Holiday Open House from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in its warehouse winery.
There will be a new release tastings plus a preview of their line of 2015 single vineyard pinot noirs from top California and Oregon vineyards.
