The group, well-known on the festival circuit, is said to be a merging of Memphis soul, melodic pop and New Orleans funk. Opening the show will be Santa Rosa’s Second Line.

The Cloverdale farmers market gets started at 5:30 p.m. and music kicks off at 6:30 p.m. If you plan on shopping, be sure to bring a cooler for your purchases. You may also want to bring a low-chair.

Beef, wine and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase; outside beverages are not allowed.

Orchard Walk and Tour at McEvoy Ranch: On Saturday, July 26, Marin Organic hosts a tour of the olive orchard and olive mill at McEvoy Ranch, where you’ll learn about what it takes to turn olives into premium olive oil. The two-hour tour concludes with a guided olive oil tasting and sensory evaluation. The retail shop will be open following the tour.

Cost is $30 per person; children must be at least 10 to participate and pets are not allowed.

Paws For Love, Pause for Wine: On Saturday, July 19, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Kokomo Winery (4791 Dry Creek Road, Healdsburg), welcomes The Paws for Love Foundation for the 2nd Annual Artsy Dogs of Kokomo.

Admission is free and your well-behaved pups are welcome on their leashes.

Green Dog Rescue Project and Sonoma County Animal Services will attend with adoptable dogs and barbecued hot dogs and brats will be available for purchase.

If you’d like to explore your pup’s artist talent, all it takes is a $25 donation.

You’ll head home with a piece of art ready for framing, painted by your brilliant canine.

Murder Is On the Menu: As of press time, there were a handful of seats remaining for Saturday night’s Murder Mystery Dinner at the Tudor Rose English Tea Room in downtown Santa Rosa.

The mystery unfolds over dinner from 7 to 9 p.m. and guests are encouraged to dress for the occasion.

What, exactly, does that mean? We’re not sure, but if you get your inspiration from “Downton Abbey,” you’ll surely fit right in.

Tables are shared, which adds to the fun. Dinner includes soup, salad, a choice of bangers and mash with sweet peas or shepherd’s pie and house-made New York cheesecake with blackberry and chocolate sauce. Gluten-free options are available if you make the request in advance.

The tea room is owned by Angela Grant, who was raised in a small town in Northern England, across the Mersey River from Liverpool.

Tour of Green Goose Farm: On Saturday, the Marin and Sonoma chapters of the Weston A. Price Foundation join together to host a public tour of a small farm near downtown Petaluma that raises heritage breeds of sheep, chicken, turkey, geese and pigs.

The animals enjoy a stress-free environment and a diet of primarily natural foods, including fermented produce, sprouted barley, organic yogurt, acorns and more.

The tour takes place from 3 to 4 p.m. and will be followed by a potluck from 4 to 5 p.m.

Oh, No, Not Another Farmers Market!? Well, yes, but only sort of.

On Thursday evenings from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m., four urban wineries are teaming up with a couple of farmers and a few food producers for a late afternoon-early evening gathering where you can enjoy a glass of wine and a meal, if you like, or snag ingredients for dinner.

This is a project of the West End Farmers Market and is known as the Farmers Market at Vintner’s Square (1301 Cleveland Ave., Santa Rosa).

Participating wineries are Sheldon Wines, Krutz Family Cellars, Two Shepherds Vineyard and D’Argenzio Winery, along with one brewery, Fogbelt Brewing Company.

One Ocean Seafood will be selling fish and shellfish, including barbecued oysters. Rojas Family Farm, The Hummus Guy, Juice on the Square, Kiss the Flower/Bee Love Honey and Starting From Scratch will also participate.

DaVero’s July Sunset Supper: Next Friday night, chef Mark Malicki takes the helm at July’s Sunset Supper at DaVero Farms and Winery. Malicki currently hosts dinner several nights a week at Casino in the town of Bodega.

Malicki’s menu begins with nibbles in the garden and sips of 2011 DaVero Carignano.

Next comes Tomales Bay halibut, roasted on the bone, served with favas and green peas and paired with the winery’s fabulous 2013 Vermentino.

A main course of roast suckling lamb, griddle scallions and pistachio aillade will be matched with 2012 Dolcetto and for dessert, you’ll enjoy DaVero Estate Late Harvest Moscato with wild strawberries, rosewater cream and almond praline.

Cost is $100 per person; proceeds benefit the STAR Scholarship Program for children of farm workers at Healdsburg High School.

Lavender Magic: On Saturday, July 26, Barbra Friedman of Washi Egg fame will teach a class at Shed (25 North St., Healdsburg).

The class will focus on creating decorative sconces using lavender that Friedman grows at her farm in Forestville.

Each participant will make with a decorative wall hanging using over 150 stems of organic lavender. In addition, Friedman will share lavender short bread, handcrafted lavender hand cream and stories about Bennett Valley Farm, where she raised dried flowers and herbs for years and appeared on the Martha Stewart Show.
