Gearhead: RovR RollR 80 Cooler can chill food, haul gear for a crowd

With reunion picnics and group campouts ahead, the new RovR RollR 80 Cooler is a kitchen on wheels.|

Designed with group campsites and big-crowd picnics in mind, the RovR RollR 80 - with a whopping 80-quart capacity-is the monster truck of coolers. It allows you to pull a huge amount of food and gear across sand, grass, dirt and other tough ground to the perfect spot. It's all thanks to the cooler's sturdy construction, rugged and agile 8-inch all-terrain wheels mounted on five-spoke nylon hubs and aluminum cushioned-grip pull handle. Two inches of foam insulation, an airtight fridge-style gasket and a rotomolded, elevated body allows food to stay cold for 7-10 days. The dry storage bin separates edibles from melting ice, and a cutting board turns the RovR into a handy food-prep center.

But the RovR does more than cool. A removable folding bin that attaches to the lid allows it to double as a wagon for carrying chairs, tents, towels and other items (when not in use, the bin can be used as a seat). Six anchor points let you tie down gear or hook on accessories, and dual attachable cup holders fit drinks, phones, cameras, etc. A range of add-ons are available. Comes equipped for campsites, bikes or tailgating, from $449-$599. www.rovrproducts.com
