Santa Rosa: Sonoma County Regional Parks and the YMCA hold an outdoor one-hour exercise class on Fridays through August. NATURE HIKE, JULY 1
Petaluma: Free bilingual naturalist-led nature family walk at Helen Putnam Regional Park, 411 Chileno Valley Road, 10 a.m. to noon. Stay and enjoy a potluck picnic in the park. Bring a water bottle, plate and utensils and a healthy lunch dish to share. Parking, $7. Call 707-565-7888.

KENWOOD PARADE, JULY 4
Kenwood: The annual celebration begins at 7 a.m. with a pancake breakfast and silent auction at the Community Church Garden, 3K and 10K foot race 7:30 a.m. parade at 10:30 a.m., Rotary Club barbecue 11:30 a.m. The July 4th celebration at the Kenwood Plaza Park on Warm Springs Road includes music, food and fun. SUGARLOAF HIKE, JULY 4
Kenwood: Join “Bill and Dave Hikes” and Team Sugarloaf on a hike to Bald Mountain in Sugarloaf Ridge State Park, 2605 Adobe Canyon Road and a panoramic view of over a dozen fireworks displays from Windsor to San Francisco and the East Bay. Arrive no later than ?6:45 p.m. at the group campsite near the observatory. The 3-hour, 6.5-mile round trip hike is not recommended for kids under 12.
