CAMPFIRE PROGRAM, SEPT. 9

Bodega Bay: Interactive discussion about wildlife, coastal ecosystems and cultural history around a campfire from 6 to 7 p.m. each Saturday in September at Doran Beach Regional Park, 201 Doran Beach Road. Bring blankets and beach chairs and meet at the amphitheater. Parking, $7.

BIKE RODEO, SEPT. 9

Santa Rosa: Free Sonoma County Bicycle Coalition bike safety/skill rodeo from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the CHP’s Health Safety Fair, 555 Sebastopol Road in Roseland. Free helmets will be available while they last. There also will be free bike checks and a bike raffle. Visit bikesonoma.org.

Santa Rosa: Dogs revel in a leash-free day at the Spring Lake Regional Park swimming lagoon from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $5 per dog or purchase a ?$30 season pass for all Water Bark dates that also include Sept. 17, 23-24, 30 and Oct. 1. COASTAL CLEANUPS, SEPT. 16

Sonoma County: Join volunteers in removing trash from beaches, rivers and creeks in the annual California Coastal Cleanup, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Doran Beach, Steelhead Beach, Sunset Beach and Maxwell Farms regional parks and at Larsen Park in Sonoma County. Santa Rosa: Explore the landscape of Pepperwood Preserve, 2130 Pepperwood Preserve Road, at the hilltop Dwight Center for Conservation Science and the Bechtel House retreat cabin from 2 p.m. Saturday through ?1 p.m. Sunday. The event includes a guided 1- to 3-mile hike with forest bathing, nature art, catered dinner, yoga class and catered brunch. Bring a tent or sleep in the Bechtel House.
