Forestville: The deadline is April 2 to register teams online for the 2018 Russian River Mud Run on April 8 at Ya Ka Ama near Forestville. There are 5K and 10K races for adults and children and registration prices vary. Details available at www.russianrivermudrun.com.

Glen Ellen: Docent Kathleen Aspenns leads the first of four Garden Walks at Quarryhill Botanical Garden, 12841 Highway 12. Kenwood: Reservations are still available for Bill & Dave Hikes' and the Sonoma Ecology Center's Brunch on Bald Mountain fundraiser 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Sugarloaf Ridge State Park, 2605 Adobe Canyon Road. Hike to the top of Bald Mountain or relax during a ride to the summit for a fee by a chauffeur. The roundtrip hike is 6.5 miles.Proceeds will be used to rebuild fire damaged trails.
