Free spay and neuter clinics offered in Guerneville

The Sonoma County Animal Care and Control division is offering pet spay and neuter surgeries free of charge in the Guerneville area.

Surgeries for cats and dogs can be scheduled for Love Me, Fix Me clinics to be held Thursday and April 9 .

In addition to spay and neuter services, each appointment includes vaccinations and identification microchipping, said animal control outreach manager Sandra Lupien said.

The surgeries will be conducted in the agency's mobile spay/neuter van.

Appointments are required and can be made by calling (707) 703-9972 or through the Russian River Empowerment Center at 16377 Main St. in Guerneville.

Details on the clinic location and instructions will be provided when the appointment is made, Lupien said.
