SANTA ROSA Woman suspected in burglaries

A Santa Rosa woman was arrested Wednesday afternoon on suspicion of a string of residential and commercial burglaries near Railroad Square, Santa Rosa police said.

Piper Daulton, 33, was connected with the crimes after she was suspected of using credit cards stolen from an apartment building.

Police contacted Daulton on Wednesday in the 400 block of Flower Avenue. She was wanted on an unrelated domestic violence charge and fled but was captured a short time later in a neighboring yard, police said.

Detectives served a search warrant on her residence and found property believed to have been stolen in several burglaries, including computers, small electronics, identification and personal items, police said. Methamphetamine was also found.

Daulton was booked into Sonoma County Jail on an outstanding domestic violence warrant, as well as on suspicion of three counts of residential burglary, commercial burglaries, auto theft, possessing stolen property and possession of methamphetamine.

Police believe she was not acting alone. Anyone with information on the thefts is can call the Santa Rosa Police Property Crimes office at 543-4019.
