Hattie Stone, one of Sonoma County's most beloved and generous military veterans, will be remembered at a memorial service Thursday morning in Santa Rosa.
Stone, who served with the Navy WAVES in World War II, died in December at age 95.
Friends and admirers from several aspects of her life will take part in the service, which starts at 10a.m. in the main hall of Santa Rosa's Veterans Memorial Building.
Among the participants will be Michael Ottolini AMVETS Post 40, the Pacific Coast Air Museum, New Horizons Concert Band, Patriot Guard Riders motorcycle club and MOMS, Mothers of Military Servicemembers.
