Downed power lines close stretch of Highway 1

Downed power lines closed Highway 1 near Timber Cove on Wednesday evening, according to emergency dispatchers.

As of 7 p.m. PG&E was en route to the scene and southbound traffic was being diverted to Stewarts Point-Skaggs Springs Road, while northbound traffic was being diverted to Timber Cove Road.

It was unclear how long the road would remain closed.
