Santa Rosa seeks budget input

Santa Rosa is seeking public input on funding priorities in advance of its upcoming discussions of next year's budget.

The city has created an online survey aimed at helping residents tell local leaders what public services are important to them.

The survey is available in English and Spanish and can be found on the city's website.

In addition to basic demographic information, the online questionnaire asks people to rank, from "extremely important" to "not important," various city services in the planning, housing and economic development, police, fire, parks, public works and transportation departments.

The survey will be available until Monday.

Preliminary discussion of the 2014-15 budget by the City Council begins in April with final approval slated for June.
