Sonoma woman suspected of financial elder abuse

A Sonoma woman, wanted for a year on suspicion of financial elder abuse, was arrested Monday evening by Sonoma County sheriff's deputies.

Christina Marie Pruitt, 57, who has residences in Sonoma and Los Gatos, had been sought by Daly City Police on a felony arrest warrant issued in March 2013, sheriff's Sgt. Michael Raasch said in a statement.

On Monday, Sonoma County deputies got a tip that Pruitt had returned to her condominium on La Mancha Way in Sonoma. When deputies arrived, they saw her car in the driveway and heard a TV inside the condo, but no one answered the door.

Detectives obtained a new warrant for the Sonoma address, entered the condo and found Pruitt in the bedroom, Raasch said. She was booked into the Sonoma County jail and bail was set at $50,000.
