Man injured in Ukiah stabbing

Ukiah police Tuesday were investigating a stabbing that left a man with wounds to his head and arm, the second such incident in one week.

The man was stabbed by an unidentified male about 4:30 p.m. Monday during an argument near a creek off South Orchard Street, police Capt. Justin Wyatt said.

Officers found the victim nearby in the parking lot of a Big Lots store. The victim, who had two three-inch gashes, was taken to Ukiah Valley Medical Center.

Last week, a 41-year-old man was attacked in a parking lot of a south Ukiah apartment complex. He suffered stab wounds to his chest, arm and hands.

Police said no one has been arrested in either crime.
