2 more added to Santa Rosa's most wanted list after arrests

Two men on Santa Rosa Police Department's recently released top 10 most wanted list are in custody, police officials said Wednesday.

New names on the list, which is published on the Police Department's website and social media pages, are two men both suspected of molesting children and wanted on multiple felony warrants.

On Tuesday, officers arrested Clark James Grimwood after employees at Best Buy called to say the man was in the Santa Rosa store, Detective Robert Reynolds said Wednesday.

A store employee who'd reviewed the top 10 list recognized Grimwood, a transient, as a regular store visitor. The man's photo was posted behind a checkout counter and when he walked in Tuesday, officers were called. Reynolds said the employee or employees who aided in Grimwood's arrest may be due a financial award.

Grimwood, 31, was wanted on a felony warrant for violating his probation, which was for theft, assault and drug charges, Reynolds said.

Police officials last week put out the list. It includes homicide suspects as well as others considered to be active criminals wanted on arrest warrants.

Valentino Kumar, 29, was arrested Friday by Sonoma County sheriff's deputies. His arrest did not stem from a tip, Reynolds said.

Kumar was wanted on a felony warrant for probation violation involving drug charges. Reynolds said that while Kumar was not suspected of a violent offense he is a suspected street gang member with a lengthy history of crimes and contact with Santa Rosa police.

Kumar now is incarcerated in the Sonoma County Jail, serving his sentence. Grimwood on Wednesday was being held without bail.

"We have tips coming in on the tip line. This is how the program works," Reynolds said. "We want these people off the streets."

Newly added to the list is Martin Santos Salcedo Rodriguez, 43. He is suspected of molesting five children in the late 1990s and is wanted on 10 felony warrants.

Grant Lavelle Hudson III, 67, is a convicted sex offender wanted on several felony warrants including lewd and lascivious acts with a child.
