Kids, parents ring in 2013 with Snoopy, root beer floats

Hundreds of balloons rained down on kids and their parents Monday during a New Year's Eve event at the Charles M. Schulz Museum in Santa Rosa.

Kids scrambled for the brightly colored orbs as they fell from overhead nets in the museum's Great Hall.

The kids also participated in a root beer toast and mingled with Woodstock and a top hat-wearing Snoopy.

Organizers said more than 1,100 people attended the event.
