Tip leads to discovery of body in Laytonville

Mendocino County Sheriff's investigators have launched an inquiry the cause of death of a person whose body was found Monday morning in Laytonville.

Deputies were tipped Monday morning to a possible homicide at a remote location on Spyrock Road.

Investigators from the Sheriff's deputies, CHP and California Department of Fish & Wildlife responded to the call and found the body.

An investigation is under way.
