WineDirect acquires Napa software firm

WineDirect, the expanding Napa-based winery fulfillment house, has acquired Napa-based Elypsis Winery Software Solutions from Admiral IT.

As a fulfillment house, WineDirect offers ecommerce and telemarketing services for wineries, packaging and shipping wines out of its warehouse.

Elypsis, which has an office in Napa, provides software tools to help with customer relationship management, resource planning and point-of-sale data.

"Our vision is to offer wineries a unique &‘one-stop shop' for their direct-to-consumer technology needs, which in turn allows them to improve operational efficiency and customer service," said Joe Waechter, president and CEO of WineDirect, in a statement.

WineDirect also bought a new production facility in Paso Robles in June and purchased ecommerce platform Vin65 last year.
