Sharing the pain

EDITOR: Since Congress and the president have agreed to impose the spending cuts mandated by the 2013 budget sequester, I believe it appropriate for their salaries to be cut by the same percentage required by the sequester.

These reductions should be imposed until such time as the two branches enact a binding budget. These two branches of our government appear willing to indiscriminately impose financial suffering on millions of American due to their unwillingness to compromise. Therefore, they should suffer the consequences of their failure to serve their constituents.
