Fuel spill after crash on Highway 12 in Santa Rosa

A crash on Highway 101 near Highway 12 early Monday in Santa Rosa between a car and a garbage truck included a fuel spill, reported the CHP.

Traffic was directed through the center divider briefly and CHP officials initially warned drivers to expect delays of about 10 minutes.

Fuel spilled when a tank on one of the vehicles ruptured.

One person was transported to Kaiser Permanente Medical Center.
