Letter of the Day: Shuttered government

Shuttered government

EDITOR: Admittedly, my recollection of grammar school history is sketchy at best, but wasn't the original Boston Tea Party to protest taxation without representation? If that's the case, and the fanatical and uncompromising current tea party succeeds in shutting down the government because they can't get their way, shouldn't we quit paying our taxes? If the government is shuttered, we certainly aren't being represented. I'm just saying.
