Melvin sets starting rotation for Tigers series

OAKLAND – A's Manager Bob Melvin announced today his four starting pitchers for the 2013 American League Division Series.

All-Star right-hander Bartolo Col? (18-6, 2.65 ERA), who ranked second in the league in wins and ERA this season, will start Game 1 of the ALDS against the defending American League champion Detroit Tigers at O.co Coliseum Friday. Right-handers Sonny Gray (5-3, 2.67) and Jarrod Parker (12-8, 3.97) will start Games 2 and 3. respectively. Right-hander Dan Straily (10-8, 3.96) will take the mound in Game 4 if necessary.
