EDITOR: I hope The Press Democrat will print a story about the number of people who signed up for Obamacare in the first weeks in those districts represented by tea party adherents. Eighty representatives signed a letter to the speaker of the House demanding that he support shutting the government down if Obamacare could not be gutted or postponed. I am just curious to see how truly representative of their own people they really are.

Maybe I will be proven wrong, but I think that there are just as many people or more with pre-existing conditions and/or who cannot afford health care in those districts than in ours. It is just bizarre to see the Republicans yammering about how awful the Affordable Care Act is while millions of people are trying to get signed up. We live in strange times.
