A Stockton man suspected in a series of burglaries at Santa Rosa's Oakmont retirement community has entered a plea bargain with prosecutors to serve about four years in prison, his lawyer said.
Anthony Warrender Gladius, 33, was suspected in multiple break-ins that occurred last year in the neighborhood where his grandparents lived. In one case, he was suspected of confronting a victim with a crow bar, police said.
He was arrested in Lodi on suspicion of burglary, having stolen property and causing hit-and-run damage with his car.
On Monday, he pleaded no contest to two counts of burglary, four counts of receiving stolen goods and the misdemeanor driving charge.
Gladius will get 10 years at his December sentencing, but will only have to serve half time under California sentencing laws. With credit for time already served, he will be out in less than four years, said his lawyer, Jonathan Steele.
