Large fire breaks out in Mendocino National Forest

Crews were fighting a 350-acre fire in the Mendocino National Forest Saturday night.

The High Glade Fire was spotted Saturday morning in a remote area north of High Glade Lookout in the Upper Lake Ranger District of the Mendocino National Forest, according to a news release.

The cause of the fire was under investigation. It was not contained at all Saturday night, but winds had died down Saturday afternoon so the rate of spread was slowing.

Updates on Sunday morning were not immediately available.
