Letter of the Day: Chinese hacking

Chinese hacking

EDITOR: The United States owes China $1.2 trillion. I suggest that President Barack Obama commission the three top economists in the world to place a dollar value on the technology stolen by the Chinese government in its hacking of our trade and government secrets. He should release the evidence of Chinese hacking to convince the world markets and economies of the truth of our allegations and announce that the U.S. debt to China is hereby reduced by the amount arrived at by this commission. We repeat this process until China stops its theft or our debt is zero.
